Medicare has a mobile app that is a great resource for all Medicare beneficiaries and caregivers. Download for free from your mobile device or table from the Apple App Store or Google Play. App name: What’s covered.
Use the app while you are sitting at your doctor’s office, in the hospital or anywhere you use your smartphone or tablet. Once you install the application on your device, you can access “What’s covered” even when you do not have a cell signal. Search in the app to learn what items and services are covered by Medicare Part A and/or Part B, basic cost information and how to get covered benefits.
What’s not included in the app is information about coverage from your Medicare Supplement (Medigap) plan or your Medicare Advantage Plan (like HMO or PPO). If you have a Medicare Advantage Plan, you have the same basic benefits as people who have Original Medicare, but the rules may vary by plan as these plans may offer extra benefits. Check with your specific plan to see if they also have a mobile app.
Also, remember that your Senior HealthCare Solutions agents are available to assist with any questions you may have about your Medicare policies. We can be reached Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM eastern time at 1-866-MEDIGAP (633-4427).
