What is Medicare Supplement Plan F?

Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan F (Medigap Plan F) is a type of Medicare Supplement insurance that helps cover the costs of Medicare covered services. It can help pay for deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

Plan F is offered by private insurance companies and is available to anyone who is enrolled in Medicare Part A and/or Part B. There are some restrictions on who can enroll in Plan F, so it’s important to check with your insurer to make sure you’re eligible.

Plan F is one of the more comprehensive plans available, and as such, it tends to be one of the more expensive options. However, it does provide peace of mind if you want full coverage with no out-of-pocket expenses.

If you’re considering enrolling in Plan F, be sure to compare plans and prices from several different insurers to find the best coverage for your needs.

Should I switch from Plan F to Plan G?

There are some reasons to consider changing from Plan F to Plan G.

  1. Cost
  2. Future Cost

For many years, we’ve helped our clients save hundreds of dollars in their annual premium by changing from Plan F to Plan G. (Typically, the cost of Medicare Plan F is higher than Plan G).

In most cases, we find that the savings in premium far exceeds the Part B annual deductible that the client must pay on the Plan G.
