Medigap (Medicare Supplement) Plan G.

Do I have to pay additional premium for Medigap Plan G?

Yes, you do have to pay additional premium to obtain Medigap Plan G coverage. However, typical premiums are about 15-25% less than the plan F. In some cases it could be more or less, it simply depends on the area of which you live. Keep in mind that Medigap Premiums can vary based on location, age, gender, etc. The best thing to do is give one of our Medicare advisers a call or complete the quote form to compare Medigap Plan G rates in your area.

What is the difference between Plan F and Plan G Medigap Insurance?

There is only one difference in coverage between the Medigap Plan F and Plan G. That difference is that you will pay the annual Medicare Part B deducible (in 2017 is $183). In most cases, we see the premium difference far exceeds the deductible, making it a great value to the policy holder. Our specialists have also noticed a trend in the market that most companies offering Medigap Plan G insurance tend to have a lower percentage of rate increases than the Plan F.

What does Medigap Plan G cover that Medicare does not?

  • Medicare Part A deductible
  • Medicare Part A coinsurance
  • Medicare Part B coinsurance
  • Skilled Nursing
  • Home Health Care
  • Foreign Travel
  • Excess Charges

Which Medigap Carrier offers the best Part G coverage?

Great question! Currently, all Medigap Plans are standardized. This means that all Medigap Providers offering Medigap Part G, must offer the same exact coverage (no more and no less). Essentially, the carriers offering Medigap Coverage are in a bidding war for your business. So while coverage is the same, the insurance carriers will have different Medigap Rates. At Senior HealthCare Solutions, we can compare over 20 providers offering Medigap Plan G. Call us today at 1-866-MEDIGAP or complete the quote form now.

Can I choose my own doctors if I enroll in Medigap Plan G?

Yes, you can. The great thing with all Medigap Insurance Plans (F, G, N , etc.) is that you can see any medical facility, nationwide, so long as they participate with Original Medicare. There are also no referrals to see a specialists. So, regardless of the Medigap Insurance Carrier you have (Mutual of Omaha, Humana, Aetna, etc.) and regardless of Medigap plan, you are good to go where you please, so long as the facility takes Medicare.
