Medicare Supplement Plan G:
What Is It & What Does It Cover?
Medicare Supplement Insurance Plan G is a very popular choice among Medicare beneficiaries. Next to the plan F, the Medigap Plan G is the second most comprehensive plan with a more affordable premium.
Medicare Supplement Plan G covers nearly all of the Medicare-approved costs at the doctor and hospital including deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance otherwise not covered by Medicare. The only out of pocket expense one should incur while enrolled in Medicare Supplement Plan G is the annual deductible of $185 (this could change per calendar year).
As with all Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, there is no network of doctors or hospitals to be concerned with when seeking care. The consumer has the freedom to choose any provider nationwide, so long as they accept Medicare.
